Home Heating Oil

Home heating oil is a petroleum product refined from crude oil and is closely related to diesel fuel. Both home heating oil and diesel fuel are distillates. Heating oil is a distillate fuel sold mainly for use in boilers, furnaces, and water heaters.

We have multiple options to help customers save money and manage their deliveries. Our budget plan helps our customers to better manage their monthly expenses. We offer automatic deliveries with or without monitors and a fleet of modern delivery trucks.

Off-Road Diesel Fuel

Off-road diesel is available for off-road fuel use only. Off-road diesel fuel is dyed red to distinguish it from on-road diesel. Off-road diesel fuel is authorized for uses such as construction fueling, off-road equipment, agricultural use, heating oil, boiler fuel, and other non-taxed diesel fuel uses under state and federal fuel tax laws.

On-Road Diesel Fuel

On-road diesel is legal for vehicles to use on roads and highways. Vehicles licensed for use on roads or highways in the United States are required to use undyed, on-road diesel fuel. Users of on-road diesel fuel have to pay both the federal and local state taxes charged for this product. State taxes vary.

Kerosene

Kerosene is a petroleum product refined from crude oil. Like home heating oil, kerosene is a distillate. Kerosene is mainly sold for use in residential heating including furnaces and small heaters.

Propane

Propane (sometimes known as liquefied petroleum gas, or LPG) is a gas normally compressed and stored as a liquid. It is nontoxic, colorless, and virtually odorless; an identifying odor is added so it can be detected. Propane is commonly used for residential and commercial space and water heating, cooking, and as fuel for engine applications such as forklifts, farm irrigation engines, fleet vehicles, and buses; however, its applications are rapidly growing due to new technology developments. When used as vehicle fuel, it is known as propane autogas.

We supply propane to residential and commercial customers in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Central Pennsylvania, Northern West Virginia, Western Maryland and Eastern Ohio.

Gasoline

Gasoline is a fuel made from crude oil and other petroleum liquids. It is mainly used as an engine fuel in vehicles. Grades of gasoline include regular gas, midgrade gas, premium gas and non-ethanol gasoline.

We supply gasoline to residential and commercial customers in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Central Pennsylvania, Northern West Virginia, Western Maryland and Eastern Ohio.

Rec. 90 Gasoline

REC-90 is an ethanol-free, 90 octane unleaded gasoline blend designed for use in recreational/marine engines that can be damaged by the ethanol found in other gasoline blends.

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is an emissions control liquid required by modern diesel engines and is injected into the exhaust stream. DEF is a non-hazardous solution of 32.5% urea in 67.5% de-ionized water. DEF is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to remove harmful NOx emissions from diesel engines. It is required for use in diesel engines manufactured after 2010 and is carried in a separate tank from the diesel fuel.

Bedford Valley Petroleum is a proud supplier of products from the Warren Oil Company, one of the world’s premier makers of lubricants, greases and automotive chemicals.

One of Warren’s premier products is Lubriguard Skyblue diesel exhaust fluid. It is a clear, nontoxic, urea-based solution that works with your diesel vehicles’ selective-catalytic-reduction systems to dramatically reduce the emission of nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide, both greenhouse gases, from the exhaust.

Lubriguard Skyblue DEF helps your vehicles and equipment stay in compliance with federal emissions regulations.
